Update 2:44 p.m.
Boss, also known as @JohnLPitts has a Comcast update. He is told that the game will appear in Tupelo on channel 724. That is one of the Fox Sports regional channels and is part of the sports pack add-on to the Comcast service. I believe it’s an extra $7 on my bill. There is probably time to add the service if that’s what you’d like to do. The package includes ESPNU and some other channels.

If you’re a Comcast subscriber in Tupelo it’s 50-50, probably less, that you’ll get to see the Ole Miss-Tulane game on TV.
We’ve been in touch with Comcast executives in both Huntsville and Memphis, and we’re getting conflicting information on whether the game, which is to be aired by Fox Sports Net, will show on Tupelo Comcast. One says yes, one says no.
We’ve been down this path before, and it didn’t end well.
We will run an announcement to this effect in the print edition tomorrow. There’s still time today if you’re a Comcast subscriber and want to go to the Tupelo office and bang on the door. Otherwise you can complain at 800-Comcast. I can’t get you to a local voice. If you want local you’ll have to drive to the office.
