Though I think the LSU-Auburn game says more about LSU than Auburn, I bumped Auburn up a notch, recognition for a near-upset against the nation’s No. 2 team. Because of that game LSU is now the nation’s No. 3 team in the AP Top 25. It’s also the No. 3 team in these rankings after Georgia’s big win against Vanderbilt. Georgia is No. 5 in the AP Top 25.

I’d move Arkansas down to 11, if not lower. Auburn giving LSU a scare and losing to a solid Clemson team by 7 are better than anything Arkansas has done so far. Then there are the results against ULM, though I have to admit ULM’s OT games with Ark. and Auburn were quite similar and could have gone either way.

I pondered that spot for Arkansas and gave them the benefit of the doubt for losing to No. 1 Alabama and now a Rutgers team that is ranked. Arkansas’ and Auburn’s games against La.-Monroe were essentially the same. My alma mater made a big play against Arkansas in the OT, could not against Auburn. I think Arkansas has the better potential for improvement on offense. Defense is another story.

12th at best. At least vandy and UK handled their win easily. Ark. struggled with J’ville state. I agree they have more potential, but I’m judging by on field results. I admit I’m a homer, but do not understand how you rank them

I think Ark was over rated last year, so this year they were even more highly over rated. Their defense is horrendous, and UM should have beaten them last year with that lousy team. My opinion may change later, but I think you should have swapped UM and Ark and the poll would be accurate to this point in the season. I also think you have TN way too high. I would flip flop them and A&M for now.
