Rebels and a bowl game

It could happen, writes Oxford native and ESPN blogger Edward Aschoff. Clearly, there’s a postseason line of thinking for a team that held its own against Alabama.

But the first thing the Rebels need to do is break an SEC losing streak that currently stands at 15 games. If they can do that they’ll receive a jolt of confidence far greater than being competitive with the Crimson Tide.

I think that is a bit of optimistic thinking Ole Miss to a bowl game this season. I believe a team must win 6 game to be bowl eligible, and I don’t see the Rebels winning 6 games this season, 5 yes but no more. I believe the only SEC teams that they could possible beat would be Arkansas, and Vandy; a chance to beat Miss State, yes. Should they win those three game and then off to some bowl way out yonder.

I think the discussion needs to be about breaking the SEC losing streak rather than the bowl game. If they can get in the SEC win column this month, a bowl game is a realistic goal.

PA, Sorry to say but don’t think they will break the SEC losing streak this week-end against Texas A&M.

Have to agree with Jimmy boy, don’t see the black bears pulling a W away from A&M
