Lots of angles involving Ole Miss in the SEC’s Monday news release.
Last week’s opponent, Vanderbilt, produced an honoree as end Walker May was named defensive lineman of the week. May had six solo tackles and three tackles for loss. Ole Miss was rarely able to turn the corner against Vanderbilt, and the Commodores had 14 tackles for loss as a team.
This week’s opponent, LSU, produced an honoree in defensive back Craig Loston who was named co-defensive player of the week. Loston had six tackles and returned an interception 100 yards for a touchdown in LSU’s 37-17 win over Mississippi State.
Ole Miss quarterback Bo Wallace was listed among other noteworthy performances from the weekend. He was 31-for-49 for 403 yards, a touchdown and no interceptions against Vanderbilt.
Vanderbilt quarterback Jordan Rodgers and WR Jordan Matthews were also noted.
