Andy Kennedy lit a fire under his players at halftime. Players said they were a little caught off guard by how hard Coastal went to the glass.
Ole Miss was plus-3 on the glass in the second half but still finished minus-5 for the game.
Kennedy wasn’t happy with the fact that Reggie Buckner had only two rebounds. Buckner did some other good things, though, hitting two free throws on one trip and driving on the floor for loose balls.
Marshall Henderson finished with 27 and was big with his passing and assists as the Rebels began to pull away. Henderson was 8-for-17 from the floor, 6-for-17 from 3.
Derrick Millinghaus started at point over Jarvis Summers because Summers has had a minor knee injury and missed practice. Summers played 24 minutes off the bench and had 9 points, 6 assists and no turnovers.
Murphy Holloway (15 points, 12 rebounds), Nick Williams (11 points) and Aaron Jones (10 points) joined Henderson in double figures.
