The feeding of Donte Moncrief continues this morning.
The Rebels’ sophomore receiver has been named SEC Co-offensive player of the week following a career-high 173 yards on seven catches and tied a school record with three touchdown catches in the Rebels’ 41-24 win over rival Mississippi State.
Moncrief’s yardage was the fourth-highest for a single game in school history, the highest since 1993 and the highest ever against MSU.
Moncrief shares the award with Florida running back Mike Gillislee.
Moncrief isn’t the only Ole Miss player honored by the SEC today.
One of his biggest fans, Murphy Holloway, has been named basketball player of the week.
Holloway averaged 19.0 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals in Ole Miss wins over McNeese State and Lipscomb.
