Chuck Rounsaville of The Ole Miss Spirit is reporting that quarterback Bo Wallace will have shoulder surgery this week.
Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze hinted it was headed this way when we discussed it leading to bowl practice. It’s probable that Wallace will miss spring drills.
Wallace played through the shoulder injury once he took the hit in the Tulane game. He finished the season 235-for-368 passing (63.9 percent) for 2,994 yards, 22 touchdowns, 17 interceptions.
The touchdown passes are the most since Jevan Snead’s 26 in 2008 and the fourth-most in school history. Eli threw 31 in 2001, 29 in 2003.
If Wallace misses the spring that obviously leaves lots of reps to develop other quarterbacks, most notably freshman Maikhail Miller.
