Obviously Hugh Freeze has done an impressive job of selling his program. Lost somewhere in that — and certainly not for the first time by an Ole Miss coach was the official name of the school. I always chuckle at “University of Ole Miss.”

In non-recruiting news, Florida did a number on Texas A&M’s Elston Turner last night as the Gators won 68-47 over the Aggies in College Station. Turner had just put 40 points on Kentucky at Rupp Arena in a Texas A&M win. Florida players said they identified the fact that most of Turner’s success came when he was moving to his right. Maybe they’ll confuse the scouting reports prior to Ole Miss’ visit to Gainesville and over play Murphy Holloway on his right side. …
Ole Miss is at home against Arkansas Saturday afternoon at 12:30. The Razorbacks are coming off an 88-80 double overtime win against Auburn in which Arkansas coach Mike Anderson was pleased with his team’s effort if not always its execution …
