The diamond Rebels demonstrated more strength this weekend as a competing college baseball team than they have in some years. Taking three (3) games from a very talented and strong TCU baseball team. Using strong pitching, speed, and clutch hitting when necessary. In todays sweep game Rebels used five (5) pitchers and a grand slam home run by newcomer Stuart Turner,to handle the Frogs. Hope we will see more of Turner’s power hitting as the season progresses. I guess it was a question as could Stuart Turner, a Jr college transfer, hit the proficient pitching of the powerful SEC pitchers, Well maybe so, but its going to be a long season ahead for this newly established Rebel baseball team. I was impressed with the Rebel performance this week-end. JB
