Johnny Football keeps making news this off-season, the latest with a lawsuit against a local entrepreneur who tried to cash in on the nickname by selling t-shirts. The NCAA has ruled that Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel, the real Johnny Football, can keep any damages that might be awarded from the lawsuit. LINK

Every college athlete needs to tradmark his or her likeness, number, etc. It will be a easy way to pay athletes now. All that needs to happen is for a wealthy booster to print out some tshirts with whoever’s name, number or nickname on it, then the athlete sues the booster and there ya go….paid in full and all legal. Pandora’s box is opening and college sport will change forever.
