Got into the Kansas City around 6.
The drive was uneventful, but I saw the bad news about C.J. Johnson that came from football practice. The broken fibula will likely keep him out for about three months.
Johnson had 6.5 sacks last year. He is expected to have surgery today.
I listened to a lot of sports talk on the almost nine-hour ride up here. Not hearing much about Ole Miss has a team to watch that could make a run. I did hear a talk show out of Kansas, though, where the host referred to Marshall Henderson as “ol’ crazy eyes.”
Ole Miss will participate in interviews tomorrow from 11:20 to noon and will practice at The Sprint Center from 12-12:40.
