Holloway eager for Ravens’ opportunity

Murphy Holloway is glad to be part of the Baltimore Ravens. He leaves for Baltimore this Thursday but only for a long weekend. He will go through graduation ceremonies at Ole Miss in a couple of weeks and will leave for good on May 12.

The Ravens contacted Holloway almost immediately after the draft. There were discussions among the Ravens’ staff, he was told, in actually drafting Holloway, but ultimately they knew they could get him as a free agent.

He also heard from the Chiefs, Eagles and Bears after the draft.

Holloway feels like he has a good chance to make the Ravens’ roster.

“They showed the most interest. I’m just glad for this opportunity,” he said.

Tony Gonzalez a former basketball star at U of Cal made it good in the pro with the Atlanta Falcons. Tony had the right stuff for a pro football player. I hope
Holloway does, and if so he will make it good in pro football. I am not a follower and don’t have any concern for the Raven, I think they were once the old Cleveland Browns, not sure tho. My pro team is NO Saints. JB
