On Friday Ole Miss hosted its senior camp and many big time prospects were in attendance. Five star defensive tackle Gerald Willis of Louisiana, four star defensive end Andrew Williams of Georgia, four star offensive lineman Ty Barrett of Texas, four star defensive lineman Gerrald McDowell of Louisiana, four star defensive end Deondre Clark of Oklahoma, and four star linebacker Shaun Dion Hamilton of Alabama were all in attendance for that event. However, it was three other visitors that might have been a bigger deal for the Rebels this weekend.
CJ Hampton came to Oxford Saturday for a visit that would run through today. Hampton also decided to bring two of his closest friends. Those two close friends just happen to be five star safety of Texas in Jamal Adams and four star cornerback of Georgia Kendarius Webster. The Rebels have pursued both heavily and appear to be in the mix with both. Adams appears to be down to a top four of Texas, Texas A&M, Florida and Ole Miss. Webster appears to be down to three of Florida State, Georgia and Ole Miss, and he appears to be ready to decide soon. Its long been known of the bond that Hampton was building with these two prospects and the fact that he was able to get them to campus with him means that he may be making some headway with both guys. For Ole Miss, these bonds can only help.
On a another note: Ole Miss picked up a commitment this weekend from defensive end Victor Evans from Skyline, Texas. They also offered a virginia kicker commitment from Memphis University School in Gary Wunderlich.
