Thursday Morning Update

Spanning the globe on a Thursday morning …

NFL.com weighs in on CJ Johnson and the NCAA …

From Nashville, this Bleacher Report post says Vanderbilt’s running backs will shock the SEC. Brian Kimbrow and Wesley Tate are mentioned. They were unspectacular against Ole Miss last year, but that was still good enough to help Vanderbilt win 27-26, because the Commodores forced Ole Miss to kick short field goals on multiple Red Zone trips.

The Rebels held Vanderbilt to 92 yards on 35 carries last year, but Ole Miss also didn’t rush the ball well with 55 yards on 40 attempts. That game came at a time that Ole Miss was struggling to find itself in the run game. The Rebels were better at LSU and better still against MSU.

The Anchor of Gold blog says Vanderbilt returns a couple of experienced linebackers with a lot of potential behind those two. …

From the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Missouri coach Gary Pinkel is taking a new approach to the Tigers’ practices. …

From Lexington, Kentucky will try to revive its ‘Air Raid’ offense with a largely inexperienced group of wide receivers. Also, the Sea of Blue blog outlines a number of story lines for the Wildcats throughout camp including a quarterback battle and exactly which freshmen and junior college transfers will be counted on quickly. …

Speaking of wide receivers, it’s a makeover at that position for Tennessee under new coach Butch Jones. …

    Dear BlahBlahBob,
They said that they were through investigation CJ Johnson…what they didn’t say was that they were still shaking down leads that were discovered during the lengthy Johnson case. The iniquitous actions of the Freeze staff will bear ripened fruit for easy picking, by the NCAA. I can’t comment on the ongoing investigations, but I will say this…2014-2017 won’t be any fun for football fans in Oxford.

of course you can’t comment on the ongoing investigations– because there aren’t any. Do you really think that anyone doesn’t know that you’re just making all this up?

Look for more news about the ongoing search into Ole Miss’s coverup to break around Halloween. It’s going to get ugly!! My sources tell me that it may go down as the most blatant disregard for the rules and ethics of NCAA football, since the SMU scandal in 1987. The final results may not be released until spring of 2014. Alot depends on how fast they can wrap up the Johnnie 2 taints deal. When you’re dealing with serious cheaters, you want to make sure you have concrete evidence. As tangled as this web is, it may be in the fall of 2014, before all is known. Cid, Turf Guy, Buell Dag or any of the other names you have used, you are still just a sad sad hate filled little boy

Old, bottom of the barrel, turf guy is back with nothing but made up crap. A
complete disgrace and embarrassment, I’m sure, to all true sport fans. Get a life.
