SEC Power Rankings

I still like the Aggies in the fourth spot. Not willing to bump them up for a loss, nor am I ready to drop them behind South Carolina. The final A&M score was pretty competitive, though it didn’t look like the Aggies were competitive throughout the game. They didn’t quit. It’s also quite possible that Alabama’s defense won’t be as dominant as it was last year when the Tide allowed just 10.93 points a game.

With an impressive three-touchdown road win against a BCS conference opponent I jump Ole Miss ahead of Florida.

Auburn climbs past Vanderbilt, and the last five spots remain the same. Tennessee could have risen with a good loss at No. 2 Oregon, but that wasn’t what the Vols had.

Who is THIS turfguy you speak of? Why do I never see comments from him? Is he on another blog?

I think Sharkfins would beat SoCar and Vandy would beat Auburn. The bottom 5 are not good at all. They may go winless in conference play.

They have to play each other. All of them can’t go without sec wins. These power rankings are or should be based of play not what could happen. It is interesting that ARK is 3-0 and ranked 13.

I agree that Arkansas is probably a little low. They are 3-0. But it is also interesting that all of their non-conference games are at the beginning of the season. They will probably be 4-0 heading into the game against A&M. That’s when the real season begins. I suspect there will be several bumps along the SEC stretch, but who knows? I would place ARK ahead of Tenn, Missouri, and MSU; possibly Auburn. They get to play Auburn and MSU at home, so that should give them an advantage there,

Just waiting to see Arkansas play somebody. They were trailing Samford in the third quarter and seemed to take a while to take control against Southern Miss.

Yes popato . Ark struggled vs. a So Miss team that’s lost 14 in a row. Tucky was terrible, Tenn. got spanked, Mizzu may the best of the worst. MSU vomited up a free steak vs. Auby.

Looks as though Arkansas has all it’s easier games first. Will have to wait and see what later to them. Auburn will be put through fire this weekend.

Ole Miss use to do the same thing under Johnny Vaught and it worked great for him, He put some of the Rebels best teams ever on the field of action. A yearly winning tradition, A high bowl appearance each year and winners .THEN it all changed, Rebels tucked tail and ran into the wilderness. Mr Freeze maybe be on course to restore some of that old time winning spirit, that is unless he tuck tail and run to Texas.Hope not.

  • Cid Riley

Is Texas, Freeze’s dream job? Would Freeze take a $2,000,000.00 raise? How good could he recruit in Texas? The answer may fool you. Lots of smoke going round in Austin, concerning Freeze.
