Rebels and the rankings

Little poll change for Ole Miss in the off week.

The Rebels were No. 21 in the AP Top 25 last week, and they hold that spot again. They moved up from No. 22 to No. 21 in the coaches poll.

Alabama received 56 of 60 first-place votes by AP voters, 59 of 62 by the coaches.

And from my where are they now category…Eli Manning is off to his worst start in his career, which looks as though it may be ending soon. He has been sacked 7 times today and has 78 yards passing…peeyoo.

Attention Cidley: the G-Men–the whole team-stinks…OL not giving Eli any time and a defense that is absolutely abysmal. So, don’t put it all on Eli.

Ole Miss gets beat this weekend by Bama, Rebel will probabloy drop out of sight and it could activate a losing streak for them, But on the other hand a Rebel win over The Tide it could activate a winning streak for Ole Miss. Regardless the outcome its going to be an exciting weekend of College football. FSU looking very good this season , although they did not play a very good team this weekend but it was good for practice. Louisville Cardinals very hot team and could go all the way, Louisville Coach Charlie Strong was once on the Ole Miss Coaching staff but they let him go – what a shame!! Go luck Rebels, you are going to need it.

Sharkfin’s taller WRs have advantage over Tide’s shorter DBs. Tide D front has advantage over sharkfin’s o line…gonna be an interesting game.

You are correct Cid, Rebels have some of the best WR, there are very big and can block on the running plays, but also the Rebels have their best OL and deep, in many years. Running game not bad, Jeff Scott one of the best – my personal opinion I think Ole Miss is going to take this one and hold onto their top spot SEC West.

Could you tell us about the 12th tradition please?

Missouri did not show up in the Weekly polls, but they are 3-0 and have a very strong Offense, they racking up 623 yards of offense. And it was a balanced attack, as the Tigers had 343 yards passing and 280 yards on the ground. The Tiger could upset some of those high flying SEC teams with all the Sports media going their way, Ole Miss could be one of those teams that could be upset by the Tigers, The Tigers are one of those team that have a history of beating the Rebels, So Ole Miss please don’t take MIssouri for granted as a win.

The Tigers are better than last year but I won’t be convinced until they play a little better competition. Few of the fans here believe that QB James Franklin will put up the same type of numbers under a decent pass rush. Mizzou will face Arkansas State this week and will be 4-0 before beginning a 4 game SEC slate with Vandy, Georgia, Florida, and S. Carolina…it will be at least 2 more weeks until we start seeing what kind of team they have up here this year.

Those 3 wins….Murray State, Toledo, and Indiana.
