Kendarius Webster, a four-star cornerback from Stockbridge, Ga., announced his commitment to Ole Miss on his Twitter account Tuesday afternoon.

It’s LSU-Alabama week, a game that’s lost a little of its luster with the ascension of Texas A&M, plus the fact that while LSU is really good most years, Alabama seems to be really good every year. Tide quarterback A.J. McCarron has had three career-defining performances against LSU, two of them turning in his favor. More from The Tuscaloosa News.

Away from college football, college baseball still can’t figure out what it wants to be. Looking for more offense, the NCAA announces it will use “flat-seamed” balls beginning with the 2015 championship tournament, so not in the coming season but still a year away.
