Monday Morning Update

Spanning the globe on a Monday morning …

It’s Media Monday at Ole Miss today. Hugh Freeze has some other obligations, and co-OC and OL coach Matt Luke is scheduled to address the media today as the Rebels close the book on a 34-24 win over Arkansas and look ahead to Troy where they will be heavily favored to pick up their seventh win.

Kickoff this Saturday is 11 a.m. (I’m in!) and the game will be televised by ESPNU.

More on the Hogs and Rebels. From Northwest Arkansas Online, a photoblog of the Ole Miss-Arkansas game. Here’s what Arkansas coach Bret Bielema had to say after the game.

Here’s a GIF of Nkemdiche and Dan Skipper. In this bit of freshman on freshman violence did Skipper flop or just get mauled. You make the call. Veteran Arkansas sports journalist Jim Harris in his live blog of the game called it a flop. Check out the 2:08 p.m. entry. Jim also offers commentary on the Tad Smith Coliseum.

Elsewhere in the SEC …

Fox columnist Greg Couch writes about the human side of Nick Saban. Speaking of Saban, the big win over LSU keeps the Tide atop the BCS standings where Florida State remained second. …

From NOLA.com, with LSU having fallen out of the SEC West race the Tigers set their sights on a 10-win regular season. …

Think back to August. Who would you have called the favorite when Georgia visited Auburn? Probably not who it is.

From USA Today, the pressure builds on Florida coach Will Muschamp in the wake of the Gators’ 34-17 loss to Vanderbilt. In sifting through the ashes on Sunday, Muschamp called the Gators a fragile football team. Florida dropped to 4-5 overall and needs to finish 2-3 to reach a bowl game. The Gators are at South Carolina this week then finish with home games against Georgia Southern and Florida State. …

I say mauled…Rob pancaked his azzz.
**I once had a little poodle named Skipper. He could do all kinds of tricks…like remarkable back flips. :))

I thought Skipper kind of flies backwards pretty quick. Not sure he could flop that fast. LOL! I think he got dropped too.

This could be the end for Will Muschamp as Gator Coach he was skating
on thin ice last season when Georgia beat the Gators and again this
season it could be over for him. Gator fans getting very restless. They will probably beat Georgia Southern, but for them to beat S.. Carolina the offense will need to shapen up, Its hard for the Gator defense to stay in the game with the offense making so many mistakes.and putting the team in deep holes. As for beating the Noles it will be a very difficult task, but it can be done. Gators with 2-1 record in the last three game will make the bowl eligible.and a new life, BUT,! BUT!! The Gator QB and OL diffidently not cutting the mustard and carry their share of the load.,
