About to get on the road to Tupelo after the Ole Miss-Vanderbilt game last night, and I’ll attend the Ole Miss-MSU women’s game tonight.

Art Kaufman had a couple of stints at Ole Miss, the latter from 1995-2000 on the staffs of both Tommy Tuberville and David Cutcliffe. He was with Tuberville again as defensive coordinator at Texas Tech and Cincinnati, and Wednesday he was announced as the new defensive coordinator at Cal. Kaufman was let go at Cincinnati following the 2013 season …

As James Franklin raids the Vanderbilt class of commits new coach Derek Mason has got his first tangible evidence of reversing that trend, The Tennessean reports. There’s mention here of four-star safety Emmanuel Smith, a Vanderbilt commit who reportedly was giving Ole Miss a look after Franklin’s move to Penn State.

Speaking of Franklin, folks here aren’t as enamored with him as they once were, I’m hearing. They haven’t yet moved to take his photograph down from one of the football stadium entrances. …

You wondered when the league would begin to turn to its fan base to turn up the heat on TV providers to get on board with the SEC Network. Well, seems like I’m starting to see more tweets from administrators at SEC schools directing you to this site.
