Kennedy talks Tide, Releford

Trevor Releford scored 15 of Alabama’s last 16 points – none bigger than the 3-pointer from the key in the final seconds – when Alabama defeated Ole Miss 67-64 on Feb. 11 in Tuscaloosa.

The rematch is Wednesday night at 7 at Tad Smith Coliseum, and Ole Miss is trying to snap a four-game losing streak that began at Alabama.

Here’s what Rebels coach Andy Kennedy had to say about the Crimson Tide point guard on today’s SEC teleconference:

“I think he’s a first-team all-league player. Obviously they’ve had their ups and downs as we have all had, but had a few games gone the other way for Alabama he’d be in the conversation for MVP in the league. He’s had a terrific career. He’s been very steady and has really improved, which is a credit to Anthony (Grant) and his staff. He was always fast in the open floor, but his ability to develop his perimeter shooting and make perimeter shots has really made him a difficult cover.”

Interesting article in NY Times about the frat “beating”, all the football player arrests, the mocking of the thespians and the noosing of Mr. Meredith’s iconic statue…the ask the question, ” what in the name of Johnnie Rebel, is going on in Oxford, Mississippi”?

interesting article on the denver abc 7 website about the relationship between internet trolling and mental illness. you definitely should read that.

Cid conveniently leaves out the facts.
        1) No eye witness to the frat incident
        2) No witness to the Thespian incident
        3) 3 students (from Georgia) found guilty of the James Meredith statue incident.
Cid, get your facts straight, then you can distort them.

too bad that you can’t pass a day without embarrassing actions… internet trolling… lying… trying to trash young men’s reputations anonymously… shameful. It is also shameful that this rag allows your trash to remain on its website.

$2,000,000.00 worth of reasons…the entire group that witnessed the frat beating, the people that were rehearsing witnessed the slurs, the 3 Georgia boys were framed, much like L.H. Oswald…please remove the confederate glasses you’re lookin through.

Pretty sure the police officers who have arrested countless football players witnessed the total lack of civil obedience shown by these players…at last count there have been no fewer than 7 arrests for various crimes.

you’ve been arrested 7 times? wow, I hope that you have a good lawyer. No wonder you were so upset when your boyfriend was missing. You really need his shoulder to cry on.
