Tide completes the sweep

Alabama wins Game 3 today by a 3-1 final.

When you have seven hits and draw three walks you have opportunities. Alabama scored three runs off eight hits and only one walk issued, that by reliever Aaron Greenwood, the third Ole Miss pitcher.

Sam Smith took the loss, giving up all three runs in the fourth on three hits, one of them a solo home run.

Will Allen and Sikes Orvis were both 2-for-4 for Ole Miss. The Rebels had seven singles, no extra-base hits.

Ole Miss drops to 21-8 overall, 4-5 in SEC play.

One day, you will give Karl Hungus the credit he deserves. He called the sweep, while he was in Brussels….now he is at LaGuardia and whoop! There it is. SWEEP and a fall from the rankings.

Back home in Tennessee and see there’s 4 teams tied for first in SEC baseball, but sharkfins aren’t one of them?
