Rebels Rise

Ole Miss followed an 0-4 week with a 4-0 week and has jumped four spots to No. 19 in this week’s Baseball America Top 25.

When the Rebels visit Mississippi State this weekend it will be BA’s No. 19 and No. 17 teams.

It’s a busy week for Ole Miss before then with a road trip to Memphis tomorrow and a home game against Murray State.

The Rebels have lost four straight and five of the last six against Memphis including a 4-1 decision on March 5 in Oxford.

The northeast web page lists Lardggins as DL, they have Randell listed as starting QB in 7 games…congratulations on your backup jc QB…that weighs near 400.

    • Seth Mohundro

He played both sides. He started the first few games at DE and then when Randall threw some errant balls in games, he started at QB and brought us back in a couple of games.

A slip up against Boise St. or Vandy and it’s bye bye Shreveport….how y’all are dodging Florida, Georgia and So Car is beyond me. Very creative scheduling.

    • TheGiantRebel

Miss A&M is dodging those teams as well. The moo u schedule is laughable at best! Dang, msu plays USM….

maybe the toilet drinkers can make it back to the Liberty!! #failstate

At least Mississippi State owns the Sharkfins….4 outta 6. They played Oklahoma State last season. No need to bring up ancient history to argue your Egg Bowl point, either. Let’s stick to this decade. Mississippi State doesn’t and hasn’t had near the “talent” the Sharkfins have had and still owns the last 8 years…superior coaching and the will to win, supercedes top flite recruiting. You know that’s the truth.

      • karl Hungus

Mississippi A&M is a complement by the way. Thanks to Thomas Jefferson’s foresight, Mississippi State/ A&M is the largest land grant institution in America. They don’t grow WEED to supply their athletes either, like Ile Miss does,”allegedly.”

If Mississippi State makes the Liberty Bowl it will be a disappointing season, but they’ll whip the Sharkfins to get there and that will make it palatable. This time they won’t have to win the Egg Bowl with a third string, freshman QB. That still stings…don’t it.

    • Me

“This time they won’t have to win the Egg Bowl with a third string, freshman QB.”

And that is a good thing for the leg humpers, since they will get beat. And since you apparently didn’t watch the game, it was the second string quarterback (Dak) who beat them. You know, the one who is going to win the Heisman this year! LOL

      • karl Hungus

Haven’t missed an Egg Bowl in Starkville or Oxford since ’96. I give Williams credit for the win, since he started. Dak4Heisman came into the game in relief. Although that’s more of a baseball analogy, it’s the way I see it. Anyway you try to paint it, you beat for the 4th time in 5 years.

        • Me

Actually, Dak came in the game with the puppies LOSING 7-10. To use a baseball analogy, the way I see it is it was a save by Dak. And since you seem to want to live in the past, anyway you try to paint it, you won for only the 43rd time out of 110 tries. See how dumb it looks to try to live in the past? only game that really matters is the last one, and MSU did come from behind to win it. They won’t this year…

Anyway, you’re going to have your opinion, and I’m going to have the right one… lol

You’re bringing a knife to a gun fight, my friend. By definition, the present spans 6 years. So you’re outta luck, dude! Sharkfins better concentrate on Boise St., first.

          • Steve

Karl Leg humper, You’ve got some serious “personal issues” …. all this talk about Ole Miss. Can you say OBSESSED? ALL these multiple postings and replies to self. Try some therapy or get your family involved in an “intervention”. You talk MORE on an Ole Miss blog than on the Moo U site.. Why is that? Ask yourself and get some help! LOL Keep the Golden Egg polished for the Rebels. TRULY, YOU NEED HELP.

          • karl Hungus

I will stay on this blog, until I get the truth from the Sharkfin nation or til ole miss gets probation, which ever comes first. The Mississippi State blog is boring…they know the truth about Ole Miss.

stand your ground, my man, freedom of speech

          • Seth Mohundro

            Are you a State fan?

          • Me

lol. By your definition maybe. Don’t think your going to win a vocabulary tussle with an English teacher. The only definition of “present” refers to scientific radiocarbon dating and begins in 1950. So if you want to use an accepted definition instead of one that you made up, that would be Rebels 39 wins, puppies 19 wins (with 6 ties). Of course, this probably means nothing to someone who makes up their own definitions …

          • karl Hungus

Yo me, you underdemiciate me. If you’re not carefull you could get carcingerated and as we all know that isn’t good in all. Sharkfins will probably win 6 games….Arkansas shouldn’t be that good.

        • Seth Mohundro

It is sad though that Dak had to fake an injury and come in to be the ‘savior’ of the game. He was supposedly ‘too hurt to play’. Lies! They had that planned.

  • karl Hungus

“Paranoia runs deep! into your life it will creep.” You guys are hilarious. Replies to myself? Really? The one that smelt it, dealt it….wow! More delusional heresy from Sharkfins who know the end is near! ROTFLMAO!!!

  • karl hungus

Well then, it’s a good thing that I am arguing with blubber brains, instead of English teachers. The present can be defined by THE defined and by him, only.

  • karl Hungus

Seth, old buddy, I’m a college football fan. I used to like THE Ole Miss Rebels. Then they sold out in the name of political correctness. Took away the tradition, took renamed themselves Blackbears, Sharkfins….put up false banners and fired Cuttcliffe, who would’ve taken them to unprecedented hieghts. Now they make me sick.

    • Seth Mohundro

When Cutcliffe was fired, I was ticked man. They did him wrong and I have to say, he has done an outstanding job with the Duke football program. I have the utmost faith in Freeze to get us to new heights.

  • karl Hungus

Dak may have faked his injury. But that would mean Mullen would’ve had complete confidence in Williams ability to keep Mississippi State in the game. It sounds like a good conspiracy theory, but highly unlikely…but hey, you never know. Stranger things have happened. Anyway it all worked out for Mississippi State.
