Checking In

Just pulled in from La.-Lafayette to find Kyle Alford watching the end of last night’s game.

Didn’t hurt me to see it again either. As deadline for three stories intersected with the end of the game I was steady writing in a media room where the seats by the TV had long been claimed.

The drive back was rainy and slow through Louisiana and South Mississippi.

It was slow for the Rebels too. I understand they are due back at Swayze Field within the next few minutes with a celebration planned for the section behind left field.

There will be interviews tomorrow, and the real road to Omaha will get under way early Thursday morning.

Pa a good trip and thanks for your outstanding reporting, thank Kyle for holding down the Fort. Now its on to Omaha and the first encounter for the Rebels won be an easy one, Virginia Cavaliers Vs Mississippi Rebels a Southern encounter

Well JB, the Rebels beat last week’s concensus #1 team (UL-L) 2 out of 3. I like to think that series made Ole Miss stronger and more confident going into this Sunday’s game with the new #1 team. Can they keep up the momentum? Coach Bianco has not forgotten the losses to the Cavaliers in the 2009 Super Regional in Oxford. Payback time? I hope so!
