Former Ole Miss coach David Cutcliffe offered high praise for Kurt Roper on Paul Finebaum’s show earlier this week. Florida lured Roper away from Duke, and Cutcliffe says “the Gators will be tougher” on offense because of Roper. …

From the Bi 10, the word “scared” was never used, but Wisconsin’s AD and coach are perplexed by the difficulty they’re having in getting SEC teams to play at Camp Randall Stadium. The Badgers have a season-opening game against LSU this year and against Alabama next year. Both games are in Texas. …

Speaking of Alabama, with so much talent in the Crimson Tide’s backfield this fall the question is how to divide the carries. …

    Gators will be much improved this season due to the addition of Kurt Roper and the return of Jeff Driskel at qB, along with an outstanding recruiting crop of which is on board and ready for duty, A group of seasoned Vets returning, so Gator will be competitive, but Florida State will be the tough one, they are starting out from where they left off from last season along with Auburn at No. 2 national ratings. Auburn must deal with their brothers The Tide and LSU, for SEC Championship, But Gators could slip into the picture with a few breaks.

      Toughest test for Gators is going to be coaching. Muschamp has shown so far that as a head coach he can do less with more than any other current SEC coach.
