In case you missed it from Djournal.com, our Brandon Speck wonders why the South Mississippi schools¬†think they might need help with travel costs if their teams play in the state championship football game now that it’s been moved to the SEC campuses. The change has been a long time in coming and will finally provide an experience worthy of Mississippi’s premiere high school football event. Tell you what, let a South team qualify and an administrator consider not making the trip. See how that plays out. Either way you’re adding a little more than two hours to the trip. You’re gaining a lot more quality.

This video from Ole Miss women’s basketball coach Matt Insell stops too soon, so we’ll never know if Brett Hart, a 6-2 sophomore for the Rebels, catches him on his morning run through Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. Hart was gaining at the end. …
