8-20 Practice Notes

Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze says there will be punishment for freshman WR Sammie Epps. He says he hasn’t decided what that punishment will be but that Epps, arrested for driving without a license and marijuana possession, is likely to miss at least the Boise game next week. It’s possible this situation could push Epps closer to a redshirt but Freeze did not rule out him playing this year.

Freeze said more information has been requested from the NCAA on the waivers for OL Christian Morris and WR Damore’ea Stringfellow. He doesn’t expect a quick resolution there.

Issac Gross had what Freeze called a “shot” that will help speed up the recovery at the cure. He’s been out with a neck sprain.
