Three Ole Miss opponents were also in action last night.
One obviously was Texas A&M which made a lot of folks say “wow” with its easy win at South Carolina.
The other two were Vanderbilt, next week’s opponent, which also had a “wow” game and not in a good way as the Commodores lost at home 37-7 to Temple in the debut of new Vandy coach Derek Mason.
Temple is improved but was 2-10 last year. Vanderbilt had seven turnovers in a game that was delayed by lightning and didn’t finish until 1:14 a.m.
Also in action was Presbyterian, a November Ole Miss foe, which lost 55-3 to Northern Illinois.
